MEN OF EMPOWERMENT
USC MEN’S GROUP
May  4 at 10:00 am - 11:30 am in the Office Meeting Room (in the USC ABQ office across Carol Street from the Main Building front doors)

Hello Everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. As you know, we've been delving into the teachings of the Essence of Gospel of Peace, and at our last Men's Group, we discussed the importance of respecting both our spiritual connection and our connection to the earth. We've reflected on the concept of Heavenly Father and Earthly Mother, recognizing that God can be found in all living things, whether it's the majestic trees, the vibrant plants, graceful birds, the diverse animals, our planet or even within each and every one of us.

Last week, we discussed the idea of being stewards of the Earth rather than its masters. This perspective encourages us to nurture and care for the planet, recognizing that we are responsible for safeguarding its precious resources and ecosystems. Moreover, we've contemplated how the principles of the 10 Commandments may have evolved and how Jesus emphasized the importance of aligning our spiritual values with the natural world. By doing so, we can avoid causing harm to others and strive for lives characterized by simplicity, harmony, and understanding.

As we continue our journey of exploration and introspection, let's remain open to the wisdom contained within these teachings. Let's strive to integrate these insights into our daily lives, fostering a deeper connection with both the divine and the world around us.

Thank you for your continued engagement and participation in our discussions. I look forward to our upcoming sessions and the opportunity to learn and grow together.

If you want to join us, we are meeting this Saturday at 10 am.

Warm regards,

Michael Small

In our last Men’s group meeting, we delved into the realm of Heart Math and opened up a profound discussion about the intricate connections between our hearts, minds, and emotions. The idea that managing this connection could enhance overall well-being struck a chord with me. Heart Math’s emphasis on understanding the interplay between these elements seemed like a valuable approach to fostering a healthier and more balanced life.
The conversation took a poignant turn when we delved into the concept of letting go. It became evident that this wasn’t just about a casual release; it was about shedding emotional baggage and liberating ourselves from the weight of negative thoughts and experiences. The realization that holding onto these things could profoundly impact not only our individual lives, but also our relationships resonated deeply.
The notion of letting go, as discussed in our group, aligns seamlessly with various
psychological and holistic well-being principles. It’s not just about acknowledging the importance of release; it's about understanding how the act of holding on can cast a shadow over our personal growth and the dynamics of our connections with others.
This awareness has prompted me to reflect on my own life, encouraging a more conscious effort to release what no longer serves me and create space for positive change. The ripple effects of this understanding are already extending into my relationships, fostering a sense of freedom and openness I hadn’t fully embraced before.
Join us for out next men’s group,
          Michael Small
