Hope you can join us for our meeting on Saturday, April 8, 10:00 am. It's time for a WOW field trip! Our April 8 meeting will be held at the New Life Presbyterian Church Labyrinth, 5540 Eubank NE. From Unity Spiritual Center at Eubank and Candelaria, drive North on Eubank and New Life is North of Spain on the East side of the road. The labyrinth is behind the church building. IF THE WEATHER is really cold or raining, I will send an email by 9:00 AM April 8 and we'll meet at Unity Spiritual Center instead. It is always an extra-special WOW meeting at the labyrinth - fun, insightful, a beautiful together time of sisterhood, chanting, and drumming. Bring a bottle of water, a blanket throw or jacket as there will be a chill in the air, and a drum or other instrument if you have one. We will have some drums available, too. Some people like to place a small stone or a live flower or something special or meaningful in the center of the labyrinth. You are welcome to bring something if you would like. We're not going to Zoom this meeting, but we’ll see you on Zoom in May if you aren’t with us in person then. More about the labyrinth visit below.
What is a Labyrinth?
What is this thing called a Labyrinth? Physically, it
is an open space; an ancient, flowing path designed
to be a walking meditation. A labyrinth is an
ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It
combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral
into a meandering but purposeful path. The
Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center
and back again out into the world.
It may look like a maze . . . but it’s not! A maze is a
puzzle to be solved, with lots of twists and turns
and blind alleys. In a maze, your mind becomes
engaged in solving the puzzle of how to get out of
it. On the other hand, a Labyrinth has only one
path – the way in is also the way out. Labyrinths
have long been used as meditation and prayer
Please join us at New Life Presbyterian Church for
our April 8 WOW meeting. We will learn a little
about labyrinths and then take the labyrinth
journey ourselves, with drums and other
instruments playing as we walk a few at a time.
